Farrington Senior's Open 2016

Expectations were not high for the early starters at Farrington Park for their Seniors Open. Heavy cloud and mist covered the course for the first two hours of the day. However as the sun broke through it turned into a glorious afternoon. Food and drinks on the patio what more can you wish for in September. One hundred and sixteen players competed in the 4 ball better ball competition and scoring was high from home and visiting teams.

Home Players
1st with 47 points were Rob Chappell and Pete Maule
2nd with 46 points were Rob Thain and Tony Russell
3rd with 45 points were Chris Standen and Barry Hall

Visiting Players
1st with 45 points were N Tothill from Minchinhampton and J Harvey from Chipping Sodbury
2nd with 44 points were R Preedy and D Pike from The Kendleshire
3rd with 42 points were C Mantle and M Barns from Wells

Many thanks to Jean Sage and Mary Hobbs for manning the desk and to our starter Ray Vickers. Also to our many sponsors for their contributions on the day. Finally to stalwart Chris Liberty for ensuring the smooth running of the competition.
